From advertising to sustainability and beyond
Faun Finley, EMSL, CYT, MAT
Originally from the west coast, Faun ran advertising promotions for a national advertising firm and produced corporate video for international companies, including many in the Fortune 500.
She’s lived a deadline-driven, pressured career and knows exactly what employees in high-producing roles experience. Faun transitioned to sustainability work out of a strong sense of mission, but after witnessing years of grief, burnout and morale breakdown, she felt called to support the work of sustainability and service-focused professionals.
Drawing from her background in the creative arts, curriculum development and teaching—as well as her training in the Morning Altars modality and yoga—she now designs programs and facilitates workshops for organizations, groups and teams. She also coaches individuals focused on holistic growth and authentic leadership.

Education: Faun holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology of Expressive Culture from Mills College and an Executive Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University. She is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Morning Altars Teacher.
Creative Arts: As a professional writer, Faun has won numerous awards from the NC Press Association and other publication entities. But what she loves most is the creative process itself, which she has woven into her Unearthing work.
Faun is passionate about expressive movement and how it shapes our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. A longtime performer, Faun first studied jazz, hip hop and modern dance, later expanding into folk dance forms from around the world. Because the energy of dancing in community is one of joy and healing, she continues to teach in-person dance classes and workshops in North Carolina.
